Why your scalp matters more than your hair
Share
The hair industry spends billions on what happens after hair leaves your scalp. Conditioner. Oil. Mask. Glaze. Bond builder.
Almost nothing on what happens at the source.
The scalp is skin. Treat it like skin.
Your scalp has the same sebum glands, the same barrier function, and the same circulation as the skin on your face. But while you have a face routine, you probably don't have a scalp routine. The dermatology research is consistent here: scalp health is the #1 unaddressed factor in hair quality, density, and appearance.
Why we built a scalp tool first
Because adding another oil or serum to your hair doesn't fix the source. A few minutes of circulation and exfoliation at the scalp does more for hair appearance than $80 of leave-in products.
What 2-3 minutes of scalp care does
- Increases local circulation — nutrient delivery to follicles
- Loosens build-up — sebum, product residue, dead skin
- Activates relaxation response — vagus nerve stimulation, real cortisol drop
We don't promise hair growth (FDA territory). We do promise softer hair, a calmer scalp, and a wind-down ritual you'll actually use.
